Dear Valued Customer,
We recently discovered a minor fault in MediaPulse v9.x & Media Ops Platform v10.x due to an automated update to Chromium-based browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and others). If your end-user's browser updates to Chromium v121, they may see temporary blank areas when scrolling the application navigator (left side menu).
The good news is a simple patch to the MediaPulse or Media Ops Platform web service is available and can be installed on a running system.
Once the patch is installed on the server, end users will simply need to:
- Log out of the application.
- Log back into the application.
If the problem persists the user may need to Log Out again and clear the browser cache before logging back in.
Xytech Cloud-hosted Customers:
Over the next several days Xytech’s Technical Services team will install the patch to all MediaPulse v9.x and Media Ops Platform v10.x installations. The installation of the patch requires no loss of service.
As your site is updated you will be notified by the Services Team that the patch has been applied.
On-Premises Customers:
In the coming days, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on installing the patch to your installation(s).
Instructions can also be found here:
Solution Process for On-Premises installations of MediaPulse [v9.x] and Platform [v10.x]
Additional Notes:
The patch consists of two style sheet (CSS) files on the server and can be installed without service interruption (no restart needed).
- This primarily affects end users with access to many apps in the navigator.
- These updated files will be automatically included in all future releases and service packs.
Should you require further guidance or information, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
Best,
Xytech Support
